Spider veins and leg thread veins due to underlying varicose veins

Thread veins on the legs (also known as "spider veins" of the legs) are usually associated with underlying "hidden varicose veins" - medically called "superficial venous reflux".

Treating the surface thread vein or spider veins without performing a scan to find the underlying "hidden varicose veins" can lead to failed thread vein treatment - wasting time and money.

Mark Whiteley of The Whiteley Clinic answers a patient question regarding why treatment of her leg thread veins in a cosmetic clinic isn't working.
